Job Description:
The Electro-Optical Engineer will provide support to fiber-laser-based, high-energy laser development efforts and other laser development efforts to support laser-based sensor systemsThis support will include, but not be limited to, laser construction, experimentation, and laser characterization under supervision of technical staffMust Have:
High Power Laser Systems (> 1kW, or some limit) Laser Characterization Equipment Laser Technologies/Development Specifying Optics and other Components for Research and Development Laser Systems Ultrafast Laser Systems (< 1 ns pulse width, some limit not microsec) Optics - Design Polarized Light in SM and PM fibers Nice to Have:
Characterization Laser characterization methods and diagnostic equipment Modeling and simulation of lasers Fiber-Optic Subsystems Large-Mode-Area Splicing for kW-Class Amplifiers Labview Programming (basic/advanced) Analytical and Decision-Making Skills Work Successfully in a Team Environment Recommended Skills Prototype (Manufacturing) Solidworks (Cad) Mechanical Engineering Computer Aided Design Ptc Creo Elements/Pro Computer Aided Three Dimensional Interactive Application (Catia) Apply to this job.
