OverviewSMART Modular Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for Specialty Flash memory products in Maynard, Massachusetts.
The Sr.
Systems Engineer will report to the Sr.
Applications Engineering Manager, Specialty Flash.
ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional technical support for our Field Applications and Sales Organizations leading to design wins for our flash/SSD productsProvide ongoing support for existing flash products and customer programs as including performing technical failure analysis on qualification issues and customer returnsManage project tracking, documentation, problem solving, sampling, life cycle of the product for customers and ensure product meets specificationsUnderstand the competitive SSD product landscape and be able to perform competitive analysis testingEngage and maintain strong technical relationships with key strategic customers (on-site if necessary) on in-depth discussions of their challenges, use cases, and major initiativesWork with internal applications engineering and design teams to provide accurate, timely, and quality responses to customer technical support requestsSetup test environments to execute SSD qualification tests, duplicate failures, & perform RCCACoordinate engineering response and resolution through engineering meetings and customer onsite laboratory workManage all issues using the 8D methodologyQualificationsBSEE with 6+years of field experienceSSD/NAND Flash memory product expertiseDemonstrated experience with processors, computers, and serversHands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence toolsHands-on experience with SATA/SAS/NVMe protocols and using Lecroy/Serialtek AnalyzersHands-on experience with drive/flash test tools from Sanblaze, Lecroy, Oakgate, Drivemaster, etcHands-on experience using oscilloscopes for testing and verification purposesCollaborative team builder, with strong interpersonal and relationship building skillsDetail-oriented to ensure high quality of communicationDemonstrated effectiveness using data to communicate and inform decisionsDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple priorities at onceCompensation & BenefitsThe pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position in Maynard, MA is $100,000 - $131,000; the pay ultimately offered within the expected range may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
The position is bonus-eligible, and there are medical, dental, and vision benefits available.
